10 things to do this week

1.) They Rock

"We Rock" benefit concert, 1 to 9 p.m. Saturday, The Main Gate, 448 N. 17th St., Allentown. Werockbenefit.com

The event benefiting Lehigh Valley Health Network's Breast Health Services will feature performances by Lehigh Valley rock groups The Damn Dirty Apes, Cherry Bombs, Slik Helvetika, The School of Rock Bank Street Band, Social Call, Jade Scott and DJ Hollywood. A Memorial Bike Run will be held prior to the start of the show. Registration is 10 a.m. Suggested donations are $8 for the concert or $18 for the bike run and concert.

2.) Victorian Days

9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Belvidere. 908-475-4124, victorianbelvidere.com

Step back in time as Belvidere presents its 24th annual Victorian Days event. Festivities include house tours, porch/garden parties, live music, food and crafts, antique/vintage car show, Victorian-era demonstrations, period clothing, picnic basket auction and more.

3.) Veg Fest

Noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, South Side Bethlehem Greenway, New Street to Webster Street, Bethlehem. Bethlehemvegfest.org

The inaugural vegetarian food festival comes to Bethlehem. Learn about the benefits of vegetarian, vegan and raw food choices and enjoy vegetable dishes and recipes created by local farm-to-table chefs. Or imbibe in "eco-friendly cocktails." Oh, and take part in yoga demonstrations.

4.) Oddities on screen

Hosted by The Onion's Joe Pickett and writer Nick Prueher ("The Colbert Report," "The Late Show with David Letterman") comes a touring road show/showcase of "odd and hilarious found videos." The festival will be preceded by a screening of the bootleg cult classic "Heavy Metal Parking Lot." Tickets cost $12.

5.) Rundgren live

Kick off Zoellner's 2011-12 season with the legendary guitarist, best known for such rock classics as "I Saw the Light" and "Bang the Drum All Day." Tickets cost $24-$38.

6.) Dinner with Sam Smith

Samuel Smith Beer Dinner, 7 to 9:30 p.m. Thursday, Allentown Brew Works, 812 W. Hamilton St., Allentown. 610-433-7777, thebrewworks.com

Sip on nine beers from Samuel Smith's Old Brewery in Yorkshire, England, and enjoy a four-course dinner. Cost is $50, plus $13 for tax and gratuity.

7.) Blues on the river

James Supra Blues Band will headline the show. Cost is $10 suggested donation. Proceeds benefit Easton Main Street Initiative.

8.) Ten years of art

Celebrate a decade's worth of art and original works — including oil paintings, photography, stained glass, jewelry, quilting, watercolor and mixed media — with live music, refreshments and door prizes.
9.) Country sounds

Sing the night away with the country veteran. Tickets cost $62 and $67.

10. Cut your grass

Don't put away your lawnmower just yet. If you have, you might want to take it out of the shed.

The Lehigh Valley and northwestern New Jersey were slammed this week with heavy rainfall, meaning the grass is going to be pretty high. Get mowing before it's too late.
