Easton girls soccer edges Nazareth on overtime goal by Christiana Nielsen

FROM THE EXPRESS TIMES

Christiana Nielsen's goal with 4:52 left in the first overtime period lifted Easton to a 3-2 victory over Nazareth in girls soccer.

The victory clinched a Lehigh Valley Conference playoff berth for the Red Rovers (12-2, 10-1 in the LVC).

"We've been down before and we know what we have to do to get it done." Nielsen said.

What Nielsen did was intercept a ball near midfield, then carry it in to about 25 yards before hammering a shot inside the far post.

Tiara Aziz scored with 8:08 to play in the second half to tie the game at 2-2, the second time Easton rallied from a deficit. Natalie Perdue also scored for Easton while Cassie Denger and Megan Strauser tallied for Nazareth.
