NFL Picks, Week 6: Will Philly fever provide a hot streak?

FROM KEITH GROLLER

Been spending a lot of time in Philly the last couple of weeks or so with all of this baseball stuff.

I've had a lot of time to listen to the Philly radio shows while getting stuck in traffic jams coming to and from the ballpark.

One thing I've learned is that the fans and the talk-show hosts really have no idea of what's going to happen to the Eagles from week-to-week.

But my guess is that around the league, there is a lot of cluelessness going on.

It seems like most people who do picks every week are struggling every bit as much as I am.

That's because there's not a true great team out there. Most, if not all, of these teams are impossible to figure.

Everyone is flawed to a certain degree.

If you had to pick who's best right now you'd probably have to go with the Jets, Ravens and Steelers in some kind of order.

But I don't know that any of those three are truly unbeatable.

In the NFC, forget it. As Nick Fierro said on The Morning Call's radio show, everybody could finish 8-8. I agree.

It's that balanced, that mediocre.

Speaking of mediocre, I epitomize it as well with my just-for-fun NFL picks.

I am 38-37 outright, which is an outrage.

I am 36-36-3 against the spread and 38-36-1 on the over/under numbers.

I am back in Philly today for NLCS Game 2 -- and security better be made available if things don't well at Citizens Bank Park because there's going to be a lot of bandwagon-jumping at about 11:30 tonight if the Phils don't win. Better monitor the bridges as well.

Here are Week 6 NFL picks (with home team in CAPS)
