ALLENTOWN PUBLIC THEATRE, Allentown is seeking volunteer actors for Devils Folly Haunted Barn in Salisbury Township. Volunteer times are 6-11 p.m. Oct. 29-31. ARTSQUEST, Bethlehem needs volunteers for Peeps Fest Dec. 29-31 to help with admissions, children's activities, merchandise, information booth and s'mores making. Volunteers are also needed for Peeps 5k Race Dec. 31 to help with registration, race course and guest services. Shifts are available between 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Minimum age is 12. PHOEBE HOME NURSING AND REHABILITATION CENTER, Allentown, will hold a volunteer recruitment luncheon Thursday. There will be a lunch, a tour of the facility and a chance to meet other volunteers. Space is limited. This is for new volunteers only. Meet in the main lobby of Phoebe at 11:30 a.m. Event will conclude at 1:30 p.m. Contact: Joan Wickel, 610-794-5362, jwickel@phoebe.org.

HOLIDAY HOPE CHESTS, Bethlehem, the Volunteer Center of the Lehigh Valley coordinates this project. Volunteers will fill a shoebox with age appropriate items for less fortunate Lehigh Valley children. To participate, go to http://www.volunteerlv.org and fill out the Holiday Hope Chest Donation Registration form. The collection goal for this year is 4,000 Holiday Hope Chests. Filled shoeboxes may be dropped off 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 30 through Dec. 3 and 3-7 p.m. Nov. 30 and Dec. 1 at 2121 City Line Road, Bethlehem. LEHIGH COUNTY SENIOR CENTER, Allentown has a volunteer opportunity to teach in areas of interest or expertise at its newly renovated center. Classrooms are spacious and inviting and the atmosphere is friendly. The center's newspaper is sent to 3,400 members, so that anyone interested in your particular topic can register for your class. KIRKLAND VILLAGE, Bethlehem would like to build a team of about ten volunteers to help with mass mailings. You would be involved in collating materials and placing them in envelopes. This is a done in a day project done several times a year. Flexible schedule; training done on an individual basis prior to each mailing. MILLER-KESTONE BLODD CENTER, Bethlehem needs office support volunteers to help in various departments; data entry, internet usage, mail folding, using mail folding equipment and filing.
