From Jeremy Setzer

Nazareth beats Parkland 35-28

The game wasn’t very pretty but it doesn’t always have to be. A win is a win! There were to many turnovers in the game, however, the offense was able to over come them and score when needed. For only the second time this season Nazareth did not score on the opening drive, going 3 and out. Parkland took advantage and scored on their opening drive and taking the lead 7-0. Nazareth tied it up and that’s how the score would stand at the end of the first quarter. The Blue Eagles exploded in the second quarter going up 28-7 by half. A late Parkland turn over turned into a TD right at the end of the half. That TD would prove to be very important by the end. Nazareth came out firing in the third and went up 35-7. Then in the fourth Parkland started to come back. They return an INT. 96 yards making it 35-14. On their next possession they closed it up a little more, 35-21. They then recovered and onside kick and punched it in with only 47 seconds on the clock. 35-28. They would attempt another onside kick but this time Nazareth was ready and it was recovered by us. Dan Harding would take two knees and the game was finally over. We now turn our attention to Whitehall who also came out on the winning side in a very close game tonight, beating Northampton 20-16.
