NAZARETH FOOTBALL BEAT FREEDOM 37-3 FRIDAY NIGHT TO GO 5-2 AND WILL HOST PARKLAND NEXT FRIDAY!

From Jeremy Setzer

Nazareth Rolls Past Freedom 37-3.

It’s another Friday night and another win for Nazareth! For the first time this season Nazareth did not score on their opening drive. Nazareth missed an early opportunity when they recovered a fumble but were unable to put points on the board. They fell behind 3-0 in the first quarter after a long pass play by Freedom. Nazareth would tie it right away in the second quarter and headed into halftime with a 17-3 lead. The blue Eagles came out of the locker room firing and ran it right down the field for another TD! They would continue to add on from there. The defense played great all night and never allowed a touchdown. The offense also played well and was very good on third downs. It’s hard to say who the stand out was. Everyone played well and it was a true team effort. It’s already been a historic season in Nazareth. Last week we saw Chuck Dibilio become the schools all time leading rusher. Tonight for the first time in school history we beat all three Bethlehem Schools in the same year. So what’s still to come?Nazareth will host Parkland next Friday night and we can see more history being made. Chuck Dibilio is three touchdowns away from tying the record for all time Nazareth scorer. Four away from calling the record his. Be at Andrew S. Leh Stadium Friday night at 7:00 and root on all our Blue Eagles.
