Phillies-Marlins Recap
The Phillies opened the second half of the season with a 4-2 win over the Florida Marlins. Starting pitcher Jamie Moyer pitched great and the bats of Ryan Howard, Geoff Jenkins, and Chase Utley accounted for the Phillies' 4 RBI's. In game two the Marlins homered three times off Kyle Kendrick and scored nine runs, while the Phillies, despite two home runs by Pat Burrell, knocked in only five runs. The closing game went to the Marlins despite a great pitching effort by Cole Hamels as the Phillies fell to the Marlins 3-2 in 11 innings
