Palmer, the top seed in the Northampton County American Legion Baseball League, has struggled in the playoffs but the East Division champions aren't dead yet.
Palmer remained alive Saturday behind Tommy Hughes' complete-game two-hitter and its 7-2 victory over Big Pocono puts manager Rich Freiler's club into Monday night's championship round.
Colin Case went 3-for-3 and scored a pair of runs as Palmer ushered Big Pocono out of the tournament. Palmer, with one loss in the tourney, will now play Freemansburg 5:30 p.m. Monday in the finals.
Since Freemansburg is unbeaten in the double-elimination tourney, Palmer will have to beat Freemansburg twice in order to win the NorCo title.
