The DeSales softball team, featuring several kids from the Lehigh Valley, will be competing in the Montclair State University Regional as announced on the NCAA Division III Selection Show on Monday morning.  The Bulldogs are seeded fifth and will take on No. 4 Kean University in the first round on Thursday to open the tournament.

The other six teams at the Montclair State Regional include the host Montclair State University, College of Staten Island, Virginia Wesleyan College, Roger Williams University, SUNY-Farmingdale, and Susquehanna University.
Lehigh Valley-bred players on the DeSales roster include freshmen Emily Hockman (Emmaus) and Amanda Setzer (Nazareth), sophomores Shelby Wilson (Southern Lehigh) and Ericka Esposito (Notre Dame) and senior Julie Brugger (Liberty).
