Correction on Cancer Prevention Study

http://blogs.mcall.com/groller/

FROM KEITH GROLLER

In today's Around the Valley column, I wrote about a Cancer Prevention Study being spearheaded locally by Karen Schiavone of the American Cancer Society East Central Division.
Karen worked with the late Patti Heffner on the Catasauqua girls basketball staff years ago.
Patti, by the way, who we all still miss dearly and think about often, would have been 55 years old today.
I know Patti would've wanted me to help Karen get the word out on this.
The Cancer Prevention Study (CPS-3) is looking for women and men between the ages of 30 and 65 who have never personally been diagnosed with cancer.
To assist this important study, all you need to do is register, give blood and you'll receive mailed surveys at home every few years to update your information.
It's very easy and not time-consuming at all to help a very important cause.
To enroll, visit www.lehighvalleycps3.org or call toll free at 1-888-604-5888.
Enrollment is taking place at three different locations over the next 12 days and here's where a correction comes in from today's column.
You can enroll SATURDAY (not Sunday) at St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Wind Gap from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Additional enrollment dates and times and include Rothrock Motor Sales on May 15 from 4 to 7 p.m. and Saturday, May 18 at the Capital Blue office at the Promenade Shoppes in Center Valley from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
