Carole Weil All-Star Softball event is still looking for players

The Carole Weil High School All-Star Classic is still looking for players for its June 5 game at Pates Park.

Any senior players interested in participating should call event chairman Ed Stinner at 610-248-3355 as soon as possible. Various scholarships and other awards will be presented throughout the night.

In addition, this is the last call for submissions for the Kyle Miller Courage Award. Any player who has overcome some form of adversity in their careers is eligible for the award. Email any nominations to me atkgroller@mcall.com by midnight Saturday.

This is the 30th annual Weil all-start event and it's always a great way to celebrate all the good stuff happening in local high school softball.
