Local product is back in the starting lineup for Lehigh

http://blogs.mcall.com/groller/ FROM KEITH GROLLER Matt Lippincott, an offensive lineman from Wilson Area, is back in Lehigh's starting lineup this week for the Mountain Hawks game against Columbia Saturday at Goodman Stadium. Lippincott, a 6-foot-3, 305-pound junior, played in 13 games for Lehigh as a sophomore last year, making 12 starts. However, a hip injury kept him out of spring drills and the recovery process has been slow. He has played in previous weeks, but will return to left guard position this week to replace Vinny Pellegrini who suffered a "mild head injury" against Fordham this past Saturday. "It has been hard for Matt, but he'll be the first one to tell you that he's finally starting to feel better," Lehigh coach Andy Coen said. "We weren't sure that [Tom] Ruley was going to make it through last week's game at center with some of the injury problems he's had, but he ended up playing a great game. But Matt was ready to go in there and now it's easy to slide him into the role at left guard because that's where he played last year. "I expect him to go out and play well."
