http://sportsmediajournal.com/page/4/ Finale World Series Numbers Down from 2011- Fox Sports reports that the four game sweep of the World Sereis by the San Francisco Giants over the Detroit Tigers averaged a 7.6 rating. The 2011 seven game Fall Classic between the Cardinals and Rangers averaged a 10.0 rating. Yesterday’s finale came in at 8.9, down from 9.2 for last year’s game four. Game four last night did average 15.5 million viewers, up 2% from 2011. CBS Sets Next SEC Schedule for Next Two- CBS Sports has announced that this Saturday’s SEC match-up will pair Georgia at Ole Miss. Verne Lundquist, Gary Danielson, and Tracy Wolfson will be on the call, which kicks-off at 3:30p.m. ET On Saturday, November 10th CBS will have a SEC double header, beginning at 3:30p.m. ET as South Carolina takes on Arkansas. Tim Brando, Steve Beuerlein and Marty Snider will call the action. Lundquist, Danielson, and Wolfson return at 8:00p.m. ET as Alabama takes on LSU. This past Saturday’s Florida/George match-up gave CBS a rating of 4.7, up 21% from last year. Gold Gloves Award Show on ESPN2- ESPN2 tomorrow night will have live coverage of the Rawlings Gold Gloves Award Show. The awards, hosted by Steve Berthiaume with analysts John Kruk and Nomar Garciaparra, will air at 9:30p.m. ET. Re/Max World Long Drive Championship Moves to Golf Channel from ESPN- Long Drivers of America and the Golf Channel announced a new, long term broadcast that will move the event to Golf Channel next year after 17 years on ESPN. The event will be showcased throughout October next year on Golf Channel through three primetime specials and the first-ever live, two-hour finale. NBC will air a 60-minute recap show of the entire championship later in the year, which will mark the first time the event in its 38-year history will be seen on network television. NASCAR Nationwide and Sprint Cup Races this Weekend on ESPN- ESPN continues its season ending coverage of NASCAR this weekend from Fort Worth. The Nationwide race will take place Saturday beginning at 7:00p.m. The Sprint Cup series Sunday at 2:00p.m. Allen Bestwick (Sprint Cup) and Marty Reid (Nationwide) and analysts Dale Jarrett and Andy Petree will call the action. NBA League Pass Free Trial- The NBA has announced that NBA League Pass, its package of all league games available through cable, broadband, and mobile, will offer a free trial beginning tomorrow. The free trial will last one week, through November 6th.
