Northampton CC women's volleyball team goes to 20-0

http://blogs.mcall.com/groller/ FROM KEITH GROLLER We've been monitoring the Northampton Community College women's volleyball team the past few weeks and the Spartans, featuring almost exclusively Lehigh Valley-area products, are now 20-0. They won their regional quarterfinal match on Tuesday night, defeating Middlesex County College 3-0. They will now host the NJCAA Region XIX Final Four on Saturday with the winner going to the district championship on Nov. 3. Win that, and they're off to the national championships in Minnesota. Evidently, more people are paying attention to this team since they attracted a huge crowd on Tuesday night. "What a great crowd tonight," said coach Adrian Yaguez, the 2012 EPAC Coach of the Year, "I can't tell you how much the support means to the girls ... I hope we can have a crowd like this on hand for Saturday." Against Middlesex, EPAC Player of the Year Kelly Yagerhofer, a Northampton High grad pictured just below, had 12 kills, 5 aces and 2 digs and Meghan Granite added 9 kills and 3 aces for the nationally-ranked Spartans. Yagerhofer First Team All-Conference selection Anna Domyan (Bethlehem Catholic) recorded 8 kills, 2 aces and 3 digs and Barbara Dimon notched six kills. Ashley McCauley, another First Team all-EPAC selection and another Becahi product picutred below right, had 34 assists and Nazareth High School graduate Lindsey Kizer registered a team-high 9 digs.McCauley Here's Saturday's schedule at NCC's Arthur L.
