A longtime law enforcement officer was demoted from detective to patrolman and received written notice of alleged conduct violations in Nazareth.
Frederick Lahovski, who also serves as Nazareth police union president, said on Friday he received a phone call from Chief Thomas Trachta saying that his detective position was being removed. Lahovski said he wasn’t given a reason for the demotion.
