FROM THE EXPRESS TIMES
Amid the end-of-the-season hugs from his players and equipment being stored away for another season, Jim Hutnik relaxes in his office at Easton Area Middle School just a few days after his Easton Area High School boys basketball team ended its season at the Geigle Complex in Reading.
The Red Rovers called it a season after a 66-52 loss to Lower Merion in the PIAA Class AAAA quarterfinals, the program's deepest advancement in 38 years, and Hutnik, a former player at Easton and Lafayette College, was trying to make sense of a long but rewarding season that had them playing well after everyone else in the region was gazing toward the spring season.
