Stockertown teenager faces no jail time for allegedly impersonating police officer

FROM THE EXPRESS TIMES

A Stockertown teenager will face no jail time after using a white car and red and blue flashing lights to pull over another driver.

Christopher Franczak, 19, of the first block of Main Street, pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct stemming from the July 1 incident and will pay $244.50 in fines and penalties, his attorney Christopher Shipman said today.

In exchange, authorities dropped a more serious charge of impersonating a public servant, Shipman said. The plea deal was formalized today before District Judge Joseph Barner.

Colonial Regional Police previously said a man was delivering newspapers on Brandywine Road in Lower Nazareth Township when a white car with flashing lights, driven by Franczak, pulled him over.

Franczak allegedly ordered the victim to get out of his car, police previously said. However, once the victim realized the white car was not a police car, the vehicle sped away, police said.
