LCCC has hired a familiar face as its new women's basketball coach

Lehigh-Carbon Community College athletic director Jocelyn Beck sent me an e-mail Tuesday morning saying that the school has hired a new women's basketball coach to replace Marge Beahm who resigned after six solid seasons.

LCCC has hired Don Delich, who had been the girls coach at Palmerton for 10 years before resigning last year.

Under Delich, the Blue Bombers went 136-107 and qualified for the District 11 tournament nine times in 10 seasons. He was the Colonial League coach of the year in 2011 after the team went 18-6 overall, 13-3 in the league.

"We are excited to have Don as part of our program," Beck said.
