Liberty's Emily Cecchini (below right) and Whitehall's Ryan Bonshak, (seen running on left) both three-sport standouts, were saluted on Monday as the final Lehigh Valley Conference scholar-athletes of the years. The awards salute them for being outstanding students and citizens as well as being top-notch athletes. Cecchini, who was the LVC's scholar-athlete in girls swimming and softball and nominated in cross country, is headed to the U.S. Naval Academy where she will participate in crew.
Bonshak, who was the LVC's scholar-athete in football and nominated in baseball, will play baseball at Lehigh University. Here is a complete of the nominees in each sport and winners.
