The Stellar Summer High School Basketball League begins Tuesday night at Cedar Beach with 25 teams involved this year.
Most interesting to me is that Reading is in the league this summer.
All teams from the former LVC is involved. Emmaus was not in the league last summer, but is back. Freedom features two teams.
The only team from the former Mountain Valley Conference is Pleasant Valley, under a new coach after the controversial dismissal of longtime mentor Ken Piontkowski.
Colonial League members involved include Palmerton, Wilson, Saucon Valley, Southern Lehigh, Bangor, Salisbury.
Also involved are Fleetwood, Lincoln Leadership, Quakertown and Faith Christian.
The league runs Tuesday and Thursday and features 14 regularly scheduled dates, ending July 24. Each night offers 12 games with one team getting a bye.
