FROM KEITH GROLLER
The University of Rochester softball team placed seven players on the Liberty League softball all-star team and one of them is freshman Tiffany White from Allen (seen in photo on the left receiving a Carole Weil Memorial scholarship last June).

The freshman outfielder started every game for UR, hitting .301 (25-83) on the year. She has 11 runs scored, one double and one triple while driving in 10 runs for the Yellowjackets.
She played great defense in the outfield, making numerous defensive plays keeping Rochester in games. She was named Liberty League Rookie of the Week on April 7th after a weekend against St. Lawrence which saw her go 4-5 at the plate with 4 RBI and two runs scored.
Rochester is 26-11 and won the Liberty League Conference championship at RPI last weekend, earning the league’s first ever automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament. UR finished the regular season with a 10-2 conference record and were co-champions with RPI and then went 4-1 over the weekend to earn the conference title, the Yellowjackets’ second in three seasons.
UR has been selected as one of 16 host sites for 1st round regional action in the NCAA Division III Softball Tournament. Rochester is hosting Alfred University, Messiah College and Marywood College this Friday through Sunday (May 9-11) in a double-elimination format.
