Looks like a great day today for softball and then a soggy, mess tomorrow.

That's the way it goes in the spring.

Saturday was the best weather day of the season so far, cooperating for the Lehigh Valley Conference Don Hunt Memorial "Play Day Challenge" and fans took advantage to see three games at two sites.

Here's a recap of those LVC games and the other Saturday action:

LEHIGH VALLEY CONFERENCE

Easton 5, Dieruff 1 ... Taylor Barna 1-hitter.

Whitehall 2, Freedom 1 ... Freshman Kay Solderitch 2-hitter, Abigail Nguyen 2 hits.

Parkland 8, Becahi 1 ... Jordy Augustus, Abby Fritzinger and Courtney Miller combined for 7 hits and 5 runs scored at top of the order.

Northampton 12, Allen 1 ... Kendel Reed 2-run HR; Hannah Peters 3-4, 2 R, 2 RBIs; Ali Reppert 2-4, 2 R, RBI; Brianna Dalton 2-3, 2B, 3B, 2 RBIs.

Nazareth 10, CCHS 3 ... Toni Ann Hahn 2-4 with a two-run HR; Brooke Lichty 3-4, 3B, RBI.
