DESPITE BLOWOUT, NCAA WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP ON ESPN EARNS HIGHEST OVERNIGHT RATING IN TEN YEARS

ESPN says Tuesday’s NCAA Women’s Basketball Championship game between UConn and Notre Dame earned a 3.1 overnight rating. That’s the highest overnight number for a women’s basketball game on the network dating back to 2004.
The Hartford-New Haven, CT market naturally was the highest local number of the night receiving a 29.3. Nashville where the women’s championship was played was second with a 6.8 followed by Knoxville with a 6.0.
