Whitehall was limited to two hits by Northampton ace Marly Laubach, but it was enough to score the game's only run on Thursday as the Zephyrs handed the Konkrete Kids their first loss of the season after 17 consecutive wins.
Andrea Emery tossed the shutout for Whitehall.
Kelly Spanitz knocked in the winning run in the bottom of the seventh, driving home Karly Klein with a single.
The celebration at Whitehall must have been something. A few weeks ago, the Zephs seemed like a longshot to make districts. Now, they're one win away from clinching a berth.
Tori Gollie and Bri Dalton had two hits apiece for the K-Kids, who need to beat either Parkland or Nazareth next week to secure the division title.

Freedom 2, Easton 1: Emily Gundrum tossed a one-hitter, and that one hit was a Chelsea Quinn home run. Becca Herman homered for Pates.
Becahi 11, Liberty 3: Seven of the 11 Golden Hawks runs came via home runs. Joelle Morey was the winning pitcher and also hit a 3-run shot.
Emmaus 6, Allen 1: Cassidy Sullivan goes 4-for-4 to spark a 14-hit attack.
Parkland 5, Nazareth 2: Trojans play Northampton Tuesday and Whitehall Thursday.
