Nazareth voters now will have a choice between two candidates for mayor come November.

Jack Herbst, a Democratic council member since 2001, had been the only candidate listed on the primary ballot. However, Mayor Carl Strye Jr. exceeded the 10 write-in votes needed to earn a spot on the ballot in the general election.
