For the first time ever, Palmerton is the No. 1 seed for the Colonial League softball tournament which is set to begin on Tuesday night at Pates Park. The Blue Bombers will play No. 4 seed Notre Dame in the second game of the semifinal doubleheader at 7 p.m. after defending league champ Pen Argyl meets Catasauqua in the 5 p.m. opener. Technically, Pen Argyl is the No. 2 seed and Catty No. 3. All four teams finished the Colonial League regular season with league marks of 12-4. The league title game is set for 7 p.m. Thursday night at Pates, right after the LVC championship game.
