FROM THE MORNING CALL

On Sunday, the Blue Mountain League will open its 68th season of amateur baseball.
It will begin the new season by remembering someone who was instrumental in keeping the league going strong over the last 40 of those 68 years.
At 1:15 p.m. at Egypt Memorial Park, a special ceremony will be held to dedicate a new scoreboard and remember the contributions of Ron "Punkin" Miller, who died in February at the age of 71.
Punkin's MetLife Orioles and the four-time defending champion Hellertown Royals will meet in a fitting matchup to start up another season of the Lehigh Valley's longest-running amateur league.
