He wound up experiencing a celebration he never thought he would be a part of back in the summer. Gallagher resigned as the Chicks' coach after the 2011-12 girls basketball season but was convinced to retake the job this fall when Allen's administration could not agree on his replacement. He endured two losses to start this season before watching the Chicks knock off Emmaus, an expected Lehigh Valley Conference tournament contender, 50-42 to end a 25-game losing streak.
