Week 13 (Dec. 17-23) Analysis: Repeats and holiday specials rule so far this week, but finales for X Factor and The Voice were also held. We now have ratings in two decimal points as of Dec. 17, so we can further see how shows do. We hope to bring this to you every week! Through the final first four night averages CBS has the lead in HH/total viewers, but NBC is on top in adults 18-49. CBS has to settle for second place in 18-49, with Fox and ABC behind in HH/viewers and 18-49. When the week is done, NBC should hang on and take the week in 18-49 with the NFL sealing them the win tonight. More on that later. As for last week, week 12, CBS took home first in adults 18-49, eight tenths higher than second place NBC. Fox and ABC were well back. Among total viewers, CBS took that crown as well, while NBC was again second. ABC was third and Fox was back in fourth.
Monday had CBS sneak by NBC for first in adults 18-49 and total viewers, as NBC had part one of the The Voice finale. But starting with ABC, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition - Holidays is airing 8-10pm this December and the 8pm hour did 4.19 million but just a 1.02 18-49 rating, down a tenth in 18-49 from previous week, though. Part two followed at 9 with 4.69 million and a 1.18 18-49 rating, on par in 18-49 with previous week. A repeat of Castle followed at 10pm and did 5.16 million and a 1.06 18-49 rating, also on par with previous week's 18-49 rating. For NBC, they had part one of the The Voice finale for 90-minutes doing 13.37 million and a night best 4.16 18-49 rating, up about four tenths in 18-49 from previous week when it was one-hour. At 9:30pm, a sneak peek of the new comedy 1600 Penn disappointed with 6.88 million and a 2.19 18-49 rating. At 10pm, the finale of game show Take It All didn't do great with 4.53 million and a 1.49 18-49 rating, down about seven tenths in 18-49 from previous week's [premiere when it aired at 9pm. CBS won the night with new episodes, as a one-hour all-new How I Met Your Mother did 8.7 million and a 3.4 18-49 rating, up two tenths in 18-49 from the previous week when it was a half-hour. A new 2 Broke Girls followed with 10.22 million and a 3.51 18-49 rating, which is down about two tenths in 18-49 from previous week. Next, a new Mike & Molly did 10.79 million and a 3.33 18-49 rating, which is down about five tenths in 18-49 from previous week's new 2 Broke Girls in the time period. A new Hawaii Five-0 at 10pm did 10.54 million and a 2.43 18-49, down about a tenth in 18-49 week-to-week. Fox preempted Bones and dud The Mob Doctor for specials, as at 8pm the special Dreamworks Dragons: Gift of the Night Fury did 3.89 million and a 1.5 18-49 rating. At 8:30pm the repeat special Ice Age: Mammoth Christmas followed with 3.95 million and a 1.47 18-49 rating. And at 9pm, Happiness is a Warm Blanket Charlie Brown delivered 2.63 million and a 0.9 18-49 rating. The CW preempted 90210 at 8 for a Gossip Girl finale event. A special aired at 8pm doing 1.28 million and a 0.62 18-49 rating. And at 9pm the series finale did 1.55 million and a 0.81 18-49 rating, which is clearly a season high but still could be better for a send-off.
