Brian Schneider, Anthony Recker make impact in late Friday night games in Calif.

http://blogs.mcall.com/groller/ FROM KEITH GROLLER Our two Lehigh Valley products in the big leagues -- Phillies catcher Brian Schneider and A's catcher Anthony Recker -- both got starts on Friday night and both made their presence felt in games that played out late in California. Schneider, the Northampton High grad, got his first hit of the season and knocked in the Phillies first run in the top of the seventh of what proved to be a 4-1 win at the Phils' home away from home, San Diego's Petco Park. Schneider went 2-for-4 (he's now 2-for-10 for the season) as the Phillies won their 13th straight game in San Diego. They haven't lost there since Aug. 16, 2008. Recker, the Catasauqua High product, got a hit and walk and made a nice tag at the plate to nab Cleveland's Shin-Soo Choo who was trying to score on a single to left in the seventh. Recker also got his first hit of the season. He, like Schenider, is hitting .200 (1-for-5). Unlike Schneider, however, Recker's team didn't win. Cleveland won the game, 4-3.
