Here are some of the stories making news in sports media today:
•CBS announced today that its SEC college football package saw an average rating of 4.2, making it the most watched regular season college football package on television for the third season in a row. Three SEC games on the network were the three highest college games of the season to date. ABC Sports had an average rating of 3.5 for the season.
•The next edition of Studio 42 with Bob Costas on the MLB Network will be this Monday, December 12th at 9:00p.m. ET. Bob’s guest this week will be Hall-of-Fame pitcher Tom Seaver.
•SiriusXM Satellite Radio will be producing a live town hall event next Wednesday, December 14th featuring Duke Men’s BAsketball Head Coach Mike Krzyzewski. Chris “Mad Dog” Russo will host the program which will be held at Cameron Indoor Stadium on the campus of Duke. The two-hour broadcast begins at 7:00p.m. ET on Mad Dog Radio, Channel 86.
