Somebody Do Something: Wires spark worries in Bushkill Township

FROM THE EXPRESS TIMES

It's that time of year again -- when snow, ice, wind and other nasty weather conditions can topple trees and down power lines.

For travelers along Jacobsburg Road in Bushkill Township, a familiar sight for the past several months is partially fallen tree limbs resting against utility lines.

Those familiar with the route say the problem has gotten worse since the unexpected October snowstorm.

Shouldn't somebody do something about this situation before it gets worse?

Somebody Do Something is a regular feature of lehighvalleylive.com that focuses on trouble spots such as rundown buildings, dangerous or confusing road conditions or weed- or animal-infested properties. The goal is to expose the problem, generate public discussion and, hopefully, nudge those with the power to fix it.
