No. 10-ranked Lehigh University wrestlers can't handle No. 5 Penn State University

FROM THE EXPRESS TIMES

A full house of 5,584 fans at Stabler Arena saw No. 5-ranked Penn State win six of the first seven bouts and roll to a 24-12 win over No. 10-ranked Lehigh University in the 100th meeting of the two wrestling powers.

The Nittany Lions, who lead the series 63-34-3, dominated the lightweights to establish an insurmountable early lead over the Mountain Hawks (5-3).

Lehigh's No. 1-ranked 184-pounder Robert Hamlin took the night's marquee matchup, though, when he dominated No. 3-ranke Quentin Wright on his feet, posting three takedowns in a 8-3 decision that avenged a 5-2 loss to the Nittany Lion in the national final last March in Philadelphia.

At 133 pounds, Lehigh freshman Chris Dinnien made the most of his Stabler debut, scoring seven first-period points and holding on for a 10-7 decision over PSU junior Derek Reber.

The hosts also got decisions from seniors Joe Kennedy (197) and Zach Rey (285).
