Muhlenberg College has named Corey Goff the school's new director of athletics effective July 1, according to a news release.
Goff will replace Sam Beidleman, who announced his retirement last month.
"I am both honored by the opportunity to serve Muhlenberg in this capacity and humbled by the outpouring of support from our community that made this appointment possible," Goff says in the release.
Goff was named assistant director of athletics in 2003 and was later promoted to associate director of athletics in 2008.
The Susquehanna University graduate has coached the Mules' baseball team for the past six seasons, but will step down after the 2012 campaign.
He also served as an assistant coach for the Muhlenberg football team from 2000 to 2005.
