Jarred Holley, Kevin Kroboth earn all-conference football honors

Easton's Jarred Holley and Nazareth's Kevin Kroboth recently received accolades for stellar seasons.

Holley, Pittsburgh's junior safety, was a first-team selection to the All-Big East football team. He was a second team selection as a sophomore. Holley finished the regular season with 64 tackles, including five tackles for loss and two sacks. At Iowa, he recorded his ninth career interception and returned it 26 yards. He has also totaled three pass break-ups and has forced a fumble. Pittsburgh will play SMU in the BBVA Compass Bowl at Birmingham, Ala. at noon Saturday, Jan. 7 (ESPN).

Kroboth, Temple's senior safety, was a third-team selection to the All-Mid-American Conference team. Kroboth started all 12 games at safety. He is second on defense with 71 tackles, a team-best six break-ups, two interceptions, and a fumble recovery. Temple will play against Wyoming in New Mexico Bowl in Albuquerque, N.M. at 2:30 p.m. Saturday (ESPN).
