GEN. CHARLES C. CURTIS NATIONAL GUARD ARMORY, 1501 Allen St., Allentown, will hold a ceremony to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the 911 Memorial Flag at 1 p.m. Wednesday. This unique ceremony honors the victims, survivors, families and heroes of 9-11, the makers of the flag, the 213th Regiment, and the military and veterans. Sponsored by the 213th Regional Support Group, the event will feature Tony the Vet from Walkathon Across America who walks to advocate for veterans. Preceding the event, a walk will begin at 9 a.m. at the Trexler Monument in Trexler Park and proceed to 12 sites related to the 213th Regiment, which celebrates its 150th anniversary this year. THE KOREAN WAR VETERANS ASSOCIATION, Northeast Pennsylvania Chapter 109 is seeking new members. Any person who has seen honorable service in any of the armed forces of the United States, within Korea (Sept. 3, 1945 to June 25, 1950), within or without Korea (June 25, 1950 to Jan. 31,1955), or within Korea from Feb. 1, 1955 onwards is eligible for membership.
