Anita M. Keck, 90, of Moravian Hall Square, formerly of Bevidere Street, Nazareth, died Tuesday morning, December 20, 2011, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Muhlenberg Campus, Bethlehem. She was the wife of Robert H. Keck since June 23, 1965. Born in Nazareth, she was a daughter of the late Francis R. and Mary E. (Kahler) Knecht. Anita worked as a substitute teacher for the Nazareth Area School District, over 20 years, retiring in 1973. She was a member and former Sunday School teacher at St. Johns United Church of Christ, Nazareth. Anita was a 1938 graduate of the Nazareth High School, and a 1942 graduate of Penn State University, BS in Music Education. She was a member of Delta Gamma Sorority. Anita volunteered with the Northampton County Meals on Wheels Program, and the Agency on Aging, Northampton County. She enjoyed playing the piano at Moravian Hall Square, and former Boarding House, Nazareth. Anita taught piano lessons from her home for many years. Survivors: Husband; daughters Barbara A. Abel of Nazareth, Constance L. wife of Mark Tiefel of Sierra Vista, AZ, Jane E. wife of Craig Beesecker of West Chester; son Robert H. Jr. and wife Melinda of Kent, CN; six granddaughters, Kendra, Andrea, Jill, Jodi, Bethany, and Sarah; three great grandchildren, Selena, Michael, and Heath; aunts Mildred Allen and Emily Kahler, both of Nazareth.
