Allen's upset win, Northampton's comeback win tightens LVC softball races

FROM KEITH GROLLER

Another day, another amazing batch of games in Lehigh Valley Conference softball.

The two big results on Satuday were Allen's stunning 1-0 win over Bethlehem Catholic behind Sara Schraden's five-hitter and Northampton's come-from-behind win over Liberty. The K-Kids trailed 2-1 and 5-3, but rallied for a 6-5 win over Liberty.

No games are on Sunday, but a fascinating week of games begins on Monday with all of the division leaders going head-to-head at some point. And remember while they are battling for the division titles, they are also fighting for the wild-card slot that goes to the team with the best second-place mark.

How did Saturday's results impact the LVC races?
