After watching a two-goal lead slip away in the final minute of regulation, the Nazareth Area girls lacrosse team rebounded to beat Southern Lehigh 10-9 in overtime of the PIAA District 11 semifinals at Emmaus High School.
Kaity Wiltraut, who finished with six goals, scored the winner for the Blue Eagles at the 1:22 mark in overtime.
"It was tough, but I know my team and we all know how well we do under pressure," Wiltraut said. "I knew that my team, with how well we played today, could get the win. We came though and the resilience showed. It was a beautiful game."
Katelyn Ambrose led Southern Lehigh with four goals while Julia Nemeth added three goals and an assist.
Hilary Holecz contributed two goals and two assists for Nazareth, which will play Emmaus in the tournament final 5 p.m. Friday.
