NorCo Legion baseball playoff game between Nazareth and Freemansburg suspended due to weather

The first game of the Northampton County American Legion baseball series between Freemansburg and Nazareth was suspended because of lightning tonight with Nazareth leading 1-0 after two innings at Nazareth Borough Park.

The game, weather permitting, will be resumed in the top of the third at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at Nazareth Borough Park.

The second game is also scheduled to be played Tuesday -- after the first game -- under the lights at Freemansburg.

Game three, if necessary, would be played 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at Nazareth.

Nazareth scored in the bottom of the second off Freemansburg starter Tyler Slanovec. Designated hitter Kyle Dauscher led off with a single, stole second, advanced to third on Ryan Mulhearn's groundout, and scored on Doug Peppel's infield single.

Starter Taylor Magditch pitched two shutout innings for Nazareth.
