Nazareth didn't have the easiest road to the Region 2 American Legion baseball tournament, but got there nonetheless.
Nazareth and Freemansburg started the best-of-three Northampton County Legion championship series on Monday, but because of bad weather and postponements, had to resume on Thursday. Nazareth won Game 1 5-1 and added a 6-4 victory in the nightcap to advance to Region 2.
The team faces Pennridge, the Bux-Mont champions, at 4 p.m. on Saturday at Wilson-West Lawn in the double-elimination tournament.
Pennridge beat Perkiomen 7-5 to advance.
The Region 2 pairings are: Twin Valley-N. Parkland at 9:45 a.m., Nor-Gywn-Kutztown at 1 p.m., Pennridge-Nazareth, 4 p.m., West Lawn-S. Parkland, 7:30 p.m.
