PENN STATE SCHEDULES BLUE-WHITE GAME

Penn State’s Blue-White spring football game is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, April 24, the university announced this afternoon.

Admission and parking are free, and an autograph session on the field is held prior to the game.

Other events also are being planned for April 23-24, including a carnival held outside Beaver Stadium on Friday evening and on Saturday.

The game will be broadcast on the radio on the Penn State Sports Network, as well as streamed (audio only) on www.gopsusports.com.

Last year’s game drew an estimated crowd of 76,500, topping the previous record of 73,000 in 2008 – which topped the former mark of 71,000 in 2007.

If it’s nice weather, expect another big crowd that in particular wants to see quarterbacks Kevin Newsome and Paul Jones, running backs Curtis Dukes and Silas Redd and linebacker Khairi Fortt.
