Moravian women's basketball team home for NCAA playoff games

The Moravian College women's basketball team, fresh off its Landmark Conference championship, will host first- and second-round games Friday and Saturday in the NCAA Division III Tournament at Johnston Hall in Bethlehem.

On Friday night, the Greyhounds will play Utica College in one game, and Farmingdale State College and Gettysburg College will meet in the other game.

The two winners pair off on Saturday.

Muhlenberg College's women's team received an at-large berth and will face Tufts University on Friday night at Kean College in Union, N.J. In the other game Friday, Kean will host Penn State University Berks.

The DeSales women, the Freedom Conference champ, play Friday night against host Ithaca College. Mount Saint Mary's (N.Y) College faces Williams College in the other game at Ithaca.

The Lehigh University women, the regular-season champ in the Patriot League, will face Bucknell University in the league playoffs Saturday at the College of Holy Cross. Seventh-seeded Lafayette College faces No. 2 American University at 5 p.m., also at Holy Cross. In other quarterfinals in Worcester, Mass., Army plays Holy Cross and Navy meets Colgate University.

The DeSales men, the Freedom Conference winner, will play Massachusetts Institute of Technology on Friday at William Paterson University. Albertus Magnus (Conn.) College plays William Paterson in the other game.
