Nazareth Library Features New Database Online

A to Z the USA” Database now available to Memorial Library of Nazareth & Vicinity Library Users
If you or your child needs to do a school report on any of the 50 states or 6 United States territories, then you should take a look at the latest addition to the Memorial Library of Nazareth & Vicinity database Collection, “A to Z the USA” by World Trade Press. Entries for individual states include sections on animals and plants, art and culture, climate and weather, crime statistics, demographics (including housing, social, and economic characteristics), economy, education, energy, the flag and seal, etc.

The database is available 24/7 from the library webpage at www.nazarethlibrary.org Just click on the “Electronic Resources” icon on the webpage for access to all of the library’s databases. When searching remotely you will need your library card. Searching in the library does not require a library card. The constantly updated database is meant to enhance the library’s collection of print materials and to support the research efforts of area students with a comprehensive collection of materials including new and innovative digital materials.

Some fun facts I learned were that the state reptile is the bog turtle, the state flag does not include the name Pennsylvania on it and the unofficial state dish is scrapple!

Come and explore this new, informative, and entertaining database! Find out lots of information on Pennsylvania and all of the other states.
