Tuesday's softball roundup: Bangor clinches Colonial slot; looks like both Becahi and Liberty will make LVC tourney

Thanks to Parkland's win over Northampton on Tuesday, it looks like both Bethlehem Catholic and Liberty are going to make the LVC tournament.

Both posted wins on Tuesday and control their own destiny as far as making next week's tournament.

Here's a look back at what we received on Tuesday:

LEHIGH VALLEY CONFERENCE

Parkland 5, Northampton 0 -- Right now, the Trojans and senior pitcher Morgan Rentzheimer are simply the best. Rentzheimer tossed a five-hitter. Jordy Augustus 2-4; Sydney Stibitz 1-3, 2 RBIs.

Becahi 2, Freedom 1 -- WP Elyse Cuttic 2-3, RBI. A 4-6-2 double play turned by second baseman Angelys Cotto, shortstop Emily Brandstetter and catcher Jean Markovic stopped a Freedom rally to save the game.

Liberty 8, Easton 1 -- Laure Epsaro HR; Alyshia Dellatore 1-2, 2 BBs, 4 RBIs; Mariah Kondravy 3-3, 3 R.

Emmaus 15, Dieruff 0 -- No information available.

Whitehall vs. Nazareth -- No one reported the game.

Allen vs. Central Catholic -- No one reported the game.

COLONIAL LEAGUE

Southern Lehigh 5, Saucon Valley 1 -- Alyssa Herr tossed a 4-hitter;  Krystyna Elsner 2-2, 2B, R; Hannah Dorsey 1-3, 2B, R, RBI. Spartans host Salisbury on Wednesday in game that should decide South Division champ and the last CL playoff slot.

Palisades 11, Northern Lehigh 3 -- The bottom has fallen out for the Bulldogs, who had gotten off to a solid start this season. Meg McClintock 2-4, 2B, 2 R, 2 RBIs; Kaylin Stenson 1-4, 2B, 2 R, 3 RBIs; Karlee Krchnavi 3-4, HR, 2B, 2 R, 3 RBIs; Katlyn Gabriel 3-4, R, RBI.

Bangor 7, Catasauqua 3 -- Slaters avenge a previous loss to the Rough Riders and set themselves up to take a CL tourney berth.

MOUNTAIN VALLEY CONFERENCE

Lehighton 7, Pocono Mt West 1 -- Autumn Bickert tossed a two-hitter and had a double.

Stroudsburg 14, ES South 2 -- Kalista Gioglio 2-4, 2 3Bs, 3 RBIs for Mounties.

Pleasant Valley 10, Pocono Mt. East 0 -- Jordan Meckes 3-4, 3 R, 2 RBIs; Madison Shaneberger 1-2, 2 RBIs; Kelsey Miczak 2-4, R, 2B, 2 RBIs; Brittany Bonser 2-2, R.
