A look at another basketball champ: LCYA's talented kids

At the end of my Around the Valley column in Monday's print edition of The Morning Call, I mentioned that Central Catholic's LVC and District 11 champion boys basketball team was honored by the City of Allentown last week with a proclamation.
It saluted the Vikings for becoming the first boys hoops team in Lehigh Valley history to start a season 29-0.
At the same I also mentioned the LCYA Senior Division (age 15 to 17) team that won the Allentown Rec League title.
The squad went 9-5 and defeated Salisbury 61-44 for the title. I've been told this was a good, solid group of guys who worked very hard. They were very proud of what they accomplished. You may hear more about some of these players in the future.
