Route 191 Road Construction 
NOTICE TO PARENTS: 

Due to the upcoming road construction on Rt. 191 the Nazareth Area Transportation Department and Jennings Transportation Corporation will work closely to assess the need to make any necessary adjustments to accommodate the student bus routes. Please see the notice below that we received from Representative Joseph Emrick. 

PennDOT Project – On Monday, March 17, PennDOT will begin work to replace the Route 191 bridge over a cement conveyer belt in Nazareth Borough. The project involves replacing the existing structurally deficient single-span adjacent box-beam bridge with a single-span concrete arch bridge. 

Route 191 will be closed and detoured from Route 248 to South Street. The posted car detour will use Route 248/Easton Road/Bath Pike, Gracedale Avenue, Seip Avenue, Spring Street and Mauch Chunk Street. The posted truck detour will use Route 248/Easton-Nazareth Highway and PA 33. The posted pedestrian detour will use route 248/Easton Road, South Main Street and South Street. 

The project is scheduled to be complete in September.
