ABC Family's Comedy Wednesday line-up of Melissa & Joey and Baby Daddy posted strong ratings on Wednesday (March 26). At 8 o'clock, Melissa & Joey surged to 7-week highs in Adults 18-34 (468,000 viewers/0.7 rating), Women 18-34 (310,000 viewers/0.9 rating), Viewers 12-34 (580,000 viewers/0.6 rating) and Females 12-34 (402,000 viewers/0.9 rating), 6-week highs in Adults 18-49 (666,000 viewers/0.5 rating) and 5-week highs in Total Viewers (1.013 million viewers) and Women 18-49 (459,000 viewers/0.7 rating). Melissa & Joey ranked as cable TV's #1 telecast in the half hour in Women 18-34 and was the #1 original cable TV telecast in Women 18-49. Based on season to date Live + 3 ratings, Melissa & Joey builds to 1.5 million Total Viewers, 938,000 Adults 18-49 and 691,000 Viewers 12-34 for each episode. As for Baby Daddy at 8:30pm, the sitcom also soared to a 7-week high in Adults 18-34 (447,000 viewers/0.7 rating) and Adults 18-49 (605,000 viewers/0.5 rating), a 6-week high in Viewers 12-34 (553,000 viewers/0.6 rating) and a 5-week high in Total Viewers (901,000 viewers) and Women 18-49 (401,000 viewers/0.6 rating). Baby Daddy stood as cable TV's #1 scripted original telecast in the half hour in Women 18-34 and Women 18-49. Based on season to date Live + 3 ratings, Baby Daddy climbs to 1.4 million Total Viewers, 860,000 Adults 18-49 and 755,000 Viewers 12-34.
The two sitcoms were already picked-up for new a brand season to debut later in 2014. Both series will run through the end of April with brand episodes every Wednesday night. Next week on Melissa & Joey, Mel is torn between Joe and her hairdresser when they get into a fender bender, while onBaby Daddy Ben is seeing double when Bonnie plays matchmaker. Tune in for both comedies starting at 8|7c on Wednesday.
