Parkland ice hockey team advances to the Flyers Cup semifinals

The Parkland ice hockey team defeated North Penn 5-2 on Friday night to advance to the Flyers Cup semifinals for the second straight year.
Connor Breinich had two goals and three assists and Ben Zager had a pair of goals and Brett McHale one for the Trojans. Evan Dratch had two assists, while Ryan Dumbach and Morgan Bensinger aided one goal apiece. Jordan Lorah made 31 saves.
Parkland (22-1-1) ended North Penn's season for the second straight year. The Trojans were was down 1-0 and 2-1 and took the lead on McHale's power play goal 1:05 into the third.
Parkland, which received outstanding defense from Dumbach, Bensinger, Eric Johannes and Patrick Boore, will face No. 2 Central Bucks South next Thursday.
