A bunch of PIAA games postponed by bad weather

Looks like we're going to get the Bethlehem Catholic girls and Parkland games in tonight before the bad weather hits us, but the western half of the state is taking precautions and postponing PIAA playoff games until Thursday night.

Here's the release from the PIAA:

Mechanicsburg, PA., (March 12, 2014) - The Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association, Inc. (PIAA) announced this morning due to deteriorating weather conditions, a severe weather forecast and poor travel conditions, the following 2nd Round Basketball contests have been re-scheduled until tomorrow, Thursday, March 13, 2014. The contests are re-scheduled as follows:

A Girls’ Basketball –

Game # 125 -Vincentian Acad. vs. Berlinbrothers Valley; Hempfield Area HS, Greensburg, PA - 8 PM

Game # 126 – Claysburg-Kimmel vs. Kennedy Cath.; Hempfield Area HS, Greensburg, PA - 6:30 PM

Game # 127 – Bishop Guilfoyle vs. Serra Catholic; Richland HS, Johnstown, PA – 6:30 PM

Game # 128 – Quigley Catholic vs. Clarion Area; Karns City HS, Karns City, PA  – 7:30 PM

AAA Girls’ Basketball

Game # 327 – Blackhawk vs. Villa Maria Academy; Sharon HS, Sharon, PA – 6:30 PM
